Your NLC Library collection contains articles databases from several providers, including Ebsco, JSTOR, ProQuest, and Gale/Cengage. (See definition in help documents below.)
Results from nearly all can be found by searching on the Library home page, or you may search databases individually. The collection also includes encyclopedic and reference databases from sources such as Britannica, Credo, Oxford Reference, and World Book, also searchable in Discovery or individually. For information on eBook and video streaming databases, please use the appropriate help tab, left.
To find individual databases, visit the A to Z Links Guide, by clicking on the Guides link at the top of this page. Patrons accessing databases from off campus will require a Library User ID and PIN.
Your NLC Library collection contains video streaming resources from several sources: Can-Core, Criterion-on-Demand, Curio.ca, Films on Demand, Kanopy, National Film Board (NFB), and a small locally hosted collection. Films on Demand and locally hosted titles are available in the Discovery search. Can-Core, Criterion-on-Demand, Curio.ca, and NFB titles must be searched separately. Locally hosted titles are now available for viewing both on and off campus.
Your NLC Library collection contains eBooks from various sources: Collections include the Proquest ebrary "College Complete" subscription, an academic Ebsco eBooks collection, the Ovid Nursing collection, Canadian Electronic Library (DesLibris), Sage Knowledge, and some individual titles. Provider information will be visible when you access a book, or you can search specific collections. Find eBook databases in the A-Z List, using the database type "eBooks".
